We Didn't Start a Program.
We Started by Listening.
P61 Project Initiatives was founded on one simple conviction: every person, regardless of their circumstances, is worthy of being seen, known, and believed in. Our role is not to rescue—it's to walk alongside people and help them discover who they were always meant to be.
Why We Exist
Across Kenya, Sri Lanka, Burundi, India, Myanmar, and Ethiopia, we work alongside communities that have often been overlooked. Not as outsiders with a program to deliver—but as people who showed up, built trust, and stayed.
We are an Australian-registered non-profit with a transparent model: 100% of every dollar goes directly to the people and projects on the ground. No admin fees. No overhead. We know every person by name.
This is relationship-based community development—supporting people, empowering them with tools and confidence, and releasing them to lead their own futures.
How We Show Up
Relationship-based, not transactional. We build trust before we build programs. Every person we work with is treated as someone with something valuable to contribute.
What We Believe
Every person carries inherent worth and unique potential. We don't see broken communities—we see communities that haven't yet had the right conditions to thrive.
Our Commitment
Total financial transparency. Every dollar accounted for. Direct accountability to every person who walks alongside us.

"We didn't set out to build an organisation. We met people. We heard their stories. We saw what they were capable of—and we couldn't walk away. That's how P61 began. Not with a business plan, but with a conviction that every person deserves the opportunity to reach their potential."
